Hummus got yummier with sautéed onions

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP cooking oil
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1 TSP garlic, grated
  • 1 can garbanzo (15 oz), grounded
  • ½¾ cup Garbanzo juice
  • 1 ½ TSP sesame seed paste (tahini)
  • 1 ½ TSP lemon juice
  • 1 TBSP olive oil 
  • Pinch of Paprika powder or cayenne powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. First, sauté diced onions on medium heat until almost translucent, then add grated garlic, salt, pepper and sauté for 30 seconds. 
  2. Set aside and let it cool all the way down.
  3. Grind the garbanzo and some garbanzo juice until well blended and smooth. 
  4. Add in  TSP sesame seed paste (tahini), lemon juice, olive oil , pinch of Paprika powder or cayenne powder, Salt, Pepper, sauteed onion mixture.
  5. Grind to mix the ingredients until creamy and smooth. Then taste the hummus for flavors and adjust as needed.

Prep/Cook/bake time may change when changing portions of ingredients.
