Easy Ketchup Recipe

This is an easy Ketchup Recipe. I decided to make my own ketchup, because the ones at the stores are too high in sugar.

This would be the better choice. A recipe I have made recently, Easy Baked Sweet Potato Fries, goes so well with this recipe. My husband said that he likes my ketchup more than the store bought one. As always, homemade is always best.

Description: Easy and delicious ketchup recipe dip, great for French fries

Prep time: 5 min         Cook time:  5 to 10 min         Servings: 5 – 7

Ingredients:

1 can tomato sauce (14 oz)

Salt

Black pepper, freshly grond

1/2 TSP mustard powder

1 ½ TBSP agave

½ TSP lemon juice

How to make Easy Ketchup Recipe:

1. Add all ingredients in a sauce pan and mix well

2. Simmer for 5-10 minutes on medium-low heat. Be careful, the tomato sauce might splatter. Let it cool and refrigerate.

Notes: Best to refrigerate in a glass container sanitized with distilled white vinegar.
