This homemade Easy Rye Flour pizza Dough will turn out yummy

with that rye flavor. This has been a tradition for me to make my own pizza ever since we got out own bread machine. I got inspired to make my own pizzas after reading the book “Living the Good Life for Less” by Erin Clarke. So one day I decided to make Easy Rye Flour Pizza Dough.

Description: Easy Rye Flour Pizza Dough will give your pizza a boost flavor!

Prep time:  60 min  Cook time:  12 – 15 min  Servings:

Skill level:  Easy    Category:  Main            Method: Bake

Equipment:  Pizza pan (15 inch diameter),

Bread Machine

Ingredients:

1/4 ounce Active dry yeast
1 cup water, divided
1 TBSP Olive oil
1 1/2 cups rye flour
1 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 – 3/4 cups white flour for rolling
1/4 tsp salt

How to make Easy Rye Flour Pizza Dough:

  1. Combine yeast and 1/4 cup lukewarm water in a cup and mix. Cover and let it stand for 5-10 min.
  2. Next, pour yeast mixture in bread machine container. Then add olive oil and more lukewarm water.
  3. Next, add rye flour, white flour & salt.
  4. Put the container in bread machine and set the bread machine to pizza and press start.
  5. When done, get more white flour to help with rolling the dough.
  6. Make a ball out it, then roll into a circle shape.
  7. Put foil on a flat pizza pan and spray some cooking oil on top to prevent sticking. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes or more, bake until done.
  8. Add some pizza sauce, cheese and any other toppings you prefer.
    Enjoy!

Notes: This can be done about 3 days ahead: Put this in a plastic gallon ziploc bag and keep it in the fridge. You may need extra white flour to help with the rolling due to moisture building up.

Pizza pan size 15 inch diameter
