Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

 

I decided to make this Easy Slow Cooker Chicken recipe on a day

I was super busy. I love this because you gather all the ingredients in the slow cooker, set it and forget it. It is just so nice. I was looking over a flavor reference book and got some ideas and inspiration from there. This is for a day when you don’t want to eat anything spicy or savory, just chicken with a mild taste.

 

Description: Easy slow cooker chicken for a lazy day

Equipment:  

slow cooker

 

Ingredients:

 

4-5 LB chicken (cut in pieces)

2 TBSP olive oil
Salt and Pepper
1 TBSP lemon juice
1/4 cup water
6 cloves garlic

1 medium onion (for slow cooker)

How to make Easy Slow Cooker Chicken:

 

Add chicken to slow cooker & rub salt and pepper on it. Add the rest of the ingredients & mix well. Slow cook on low setting for 6-8 hours or on high setting for 4-5 hours until chicken is cooked through (165 F minimum) and falling apart tender.

Note: The internal part of the chicken should register at 165 ℉ (75 ℃) when done cooking and juices should run clear when pierced.

Notes

Prep/Cook/bake time may change when changing portions of ingredients.
