Easy Hard Boiled Eggs

These hard-boiled eggs are very simple and easy to make

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pot
  • Water
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a pot add the eggs and fill with water and let it cover an inch over (2 inches over if 7 – 12 eggs).
  2. Add about one teaspoon of salt, turn the stove on high heat and let it come to a rolling boil. Turn off the stove, cover, let it sit on the hot burner. (Depending how much you want it to be cooked, it should be cooked perfectly in 10 – 12 minutes. If you have that kind of stove that doesn’t retain heat when turned off, turn the stove to low, let it simmer for two minutes, then turn off.)
  3. Afterwards, drain the water, and rinse under cold water or put it in a bowl of iced water.
  4. Let it be in iced water for three to four minutes.  Then peel the eggs.
  5. Now you can make your deviled eggs or any recipe that calls for hard boiled egg.
  6. Eggs can release odors in the fridge, therefore it it best to keep it covered in the refrigerator. These should be consumed within 5 days.
