Turkey Mushroom Zucchini Bake Recipe
Zucchini squash recipes are one of my favorite dishes to make since it is lighter and healthier. This Turkey Mushroom Zucchini Bake Recipe is something I decided to try this as a new recipe and it turned out great. This is delicious and certainly guilt free. I hope you will enjoy this just as much as we did.

Ingredients:
2 zucchinis
2 squash
1 to 1.5 LBS of Ground meat
1 medium onion, diced & sautéed
3 cloves of garlic, crushed or grated
8 OZ of mushrooms
¾ TSP of ground Sage
½ TSP of ground Basil
1/8 – ¼ cup of cooking oil (divided)
2 TBSP of cooking oil for turkey
salt
pepper
1-2 cups mozzarella cheese, shreedded
Note: Oops, I did not include shredded mozzarella in the picture.
Equipment: 9 x 13 baking dish.
How to make Zucchini Squash Casserole Bake with ground meat:
Cook the ground meat starting in medium-high heat till it is cooking, then turn down to medium-low and cook it and break it down with a wooden utensil until all the pink is gone. Set the meat aside.
Then in the same pan (no need to wash pan) add 2 TBSP of cooking oil and onion and sauté for until less than semi-softened, then add in the mushrooms.
Add more oil if it seems dry. When the onion and mushrooms are semi-softened, add the crushed garlic, sage, basil and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute and mix well.
On the baking dish spread oil on the bottom. Cut the zucchini and squash about ¾ CM (centimeter) thick and spread on the bottom.
Evenly spread the ground meat, then the mushroom-onion mixture. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 – 60 minutes until zucchini and squash are softened. Then add cheese and broil until lightly browned for a few minutes.
